Digital Dojang is an online martial arts school teaching the Tang Soo Do and Soo Bahk Do curriculum of the Moo Duk Kwan. Students train through video instruction at their own pace, join live weekly classes over Zoom, and test for color belt rank every quarter through video evaluation. Rank earned through Digital Dojang is certified by the World Moo Duk Kwan — the same organization that certifies students training in person at affiliated schools worldwide.

"The training has been fantastic. I love the content that you provide. Soo Bahk Do seems to check all of the boxes for me. It’s nearly impossible to find legitimate training online with a reputable federation. I’m so glad that Digital Dojang, and Soo Bahk Do is moving into the future with Distance Learning."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)
Can you really learn martial arts online?
Yes, with structure and evaluation. Digital Dojang students train through sequenced video instruction, attend live weekly classes over Zoom where technique is corrected in real time, and submit video for formal rank evaluation each quarter. What online training cannot replace is contact sparring, which is why Dan-level testing remains in person.
Can I earn certified rank online?
Yes, for Gup (color belt) rank. Students submit video evaluations quarterly and are assessed against World Moo Duk Kwan standards. Successful candidates receive certification through the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. Dan (midnight blue belt) rank requires in-person testing.
What's the difference between Tang Soo Do and Soo Bahk Do?
They're the same lineage under two names. Hwang Kee taught his art as Tang Soo Do before formally renaming it Soo Bahk Do on June 30, 1960, after his study of the Moo Yei Do Bo Tong Ji. Practitioners who identify as Tang Soo Do generally trace to the earlier era, before the Chil Sung and Yuk Ro forms entered the curriculum.
I already train at a school. Is this useful to me?
Yes — that's a large share of our students. Digital Dojang supplements in-person training rather than replacing it, giving you reference video for every form and technique so you can practice correctly between classes. It is not affiliated with or a substitute for your own instructor.
